 The Clay Jug

Inside this clay jug there are canyons and pine mountains,

   and the maker of canyons and pine mountains!

All seven oceans are inside, and hundreds of millions of stars.

The acid that tests gold is there, and the one who judges jewels.

And the music from the strings that no one touches,

and the source of all water.

When you walk through the woods, a flower garden or be anywhere in nature, you start to feel more relaxed and at ease. Gradually the tensions begin to melt away, and you feel more in harmony with your own nature in nature.

When we recognize our connection with nature, we see that nature is ready and willing to assist when we ask. Plant life, flowers, vegetables, trees, give and give. Nature gives and gives, expressing its fullness. The plants, the animals, the birds, the insects have developed many specialized attributes for surviving and flourishing. Many plants and flowers have outstanding qualities and attributes. When we listen, watch and ask, we may learn from the qualities that other life forms have specialized in.

Set aside some time from the technological world to immerse yourself in the rhythms and beauty of nature. Return to the slower pace of earth based rhythms. Walk, hike, run, sit and meditate among the redwoods, fir, rhododendrums and huckleberries. Observe and participate in how nature heals itself from historical scars. Observe the vital healing force of nature alive, regenerating itself—in the land, and in humans.

Participate with a circle of others, share experiences of walking, moving with the land, listening and observing nature and the wild life. Learn practices and tools to attune to your spirit, the Spirit, your inner nature and Nature.

Retreats take place on 172 acres of privately owned wild forest land in Northern California near the Pacific Ocean. The land is dedicated as a nature spirit domain, honoring spirit in nature. We are in equal partnership with the land, to foster the growth, evolution and harmonious living of all who participate.
